Placenta Encapsulation
A gentle way to honor your birth and nourish your body.
Placenta encapsulation is a beautiful, time-honored way to support your postpartum healing—naturally. Rich in hormones and nutrients, your placenta can be gently prepared and encapsulated to help ease the emotional and physical transitions after birth. Many parents choose this service to support mood balance, energy levels, and overall recovery. I use the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method, a warming, nourishing approach that involves gently steaming and dehydrating the placenta before encapsulating it. I treat every placenta with deep care, respect, and strict safety standards. Your capsules are typically ready within 48–72 hours, so you can begin your healing journey as soon as possible. To ensure the safest and most personalized care, all clients will complete a brief health questionnaire and service agreement—conveniently done online. With a calm, holistic approach and a heart for honoring the full experience of birth, I’m here to make this part of your journey feel loving, grounded, and empowering.

FAQ
How do I book?
Just reach out through my contact form or email me directly. I’ll send over a quick health questionnaire and service agreement—all conveniently done online.

When do you pick up the placenta?
I offer pickup in Waco and Temple—just let me know when your baby arrives and I’ll coordinate the details with you or your support person.

Is it safe?
Absolutely. I follow strict safety protocols and use the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method, which includes gentle steaming and dehydration to preserve your placenta with care.

How should I store the placenta until pickup?
Keep it double-bagged in a clean container and placed in a refrigerator or cooler with ice within 2 hours of birth. I’ll send you detailed instructions when you book.

What is a placenta salve?
A placenta salve is a healing balm made by infusing your placenta into a blend of coconut oil and healing herbs. It’s rich in natural hormones and nutrients that may help support skin healing and reduce inflammation. This gentle salve can be used on cesarean scars, perineal tears, sore nipples, stretch marks, or even on baby’s dry skin or diaper rash. It’s a beautiful way to continue benefiting from your placenta’s healing properties—topically and intentionally.

Can I still encapsulate my placenta if I’m having a cesarean birth?
Yes! As long as your placenta is handled properly and kept cool after delivery, it can still be encapsulated following a cesarean birth. Many clients who have belly births choose encapsulation to support their recovery, energy levels, and emotional well-being during postpartum healing.

What are the benefits of placenta encapsulation?
Many birthing people choose placenta encapsulation to support a smoother, more balanced postpartum experience. While research is still growing, benefits include increased energy, improved mood, enhanced milk production, and reduced postpartum bleeding. Your placenta is rich in iron, hormones, and nutrients that your body naturally produced during pregnancy—and encapsulating it offers a gentle, natural way to replenish and support your body as it heals and adjusts. It’s one more way to honor your body’s wisdom and care for yourself during this tender time.
